Eden Hazard reveals his goal target for the current campaign

Belgium international Eden Hazard has said that he is capable of reaching the 20 to 25 goal mark this term after making a bright start with Chelsea. The attacker has already amassed eight goals and three assists during the ongoing campaign but he has been absent for the past two matches with a back problem.

In a report covered by Goal.com, Hazard highlighted that he does not have an obsession to score goals but he is pleased with the output provided by him during the ongoing campaign. He added that the 40-goal mark appears far-fetched for him but he can fancy his chances of reaching the 20-goal mark for the first time in his Blues career.

He said:“I am not looking at the stats for goals or assists. I want to feel good when I am playing, and that’s it. I just want to enjoy playing. If the goals are coming, great. But the most important thing is to win games. I can score but I am not a striker. I am more like a winger, where I can create a lot of chances as well. Of course, I can score 20 or 25 goals – maybe 40 is a bit too much, but I will try! When I have a chance to score, I try to make the right decision. If this is to shoot, I will shoot, but if it is to pass, I will pass.”

“Hazard had been absent for the past two three matches across all competitions with a back problem“
but the Blues have managed to step up to the plate with each of those games resulting in victories with a minimum of three goals scored. However, the Belgian is expected to return to the fray for the weekend league game against “Crystal Palace after participating“ in first-team training with his teammates during the week.

Chelsea are currently third in the Premier League standings behind Liverpool and Manchester City but they can leapfrog at least one of those teams, should the results go their way.
