United keen to sign players at the right price, says Erik ten Hag

Manchester United will step into the transfer market is the right player comes along at the right price, according to manager Erik ten Hag. The Dutchman has admitted that United need strengthening in some areas of the pitch despite having gone through a spectacular run of form over the first half of 2022. After starting in difficult fashion under the former Ajax boss, United have been flying high once the controversy surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo settled down. Now, United are in a very good position to seal a top four position for next season.

Despite the current run of form, Erik ten Hag has admitted that United need strengthening in some key areas including the forward line up. However, the Red Devils will not be splashing the cash just for the sake of it, according to the boss. Atletico Madrid striker Felix is reportedly one of the players linked with a move to Old Trafford. In the summer, United were quite prudent in terms of bringing in players and they were able to sign names like Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen, Casemiro, and Antony. Many of the signings have done quite well in the first half of the campaign and United are up to 4th in the standings following the recent win over Bournemouth.

United have also done well in the cup competitions. “I can’t tell you nothing about that. Definitely we have a good squad and especially in this moment we have a good team. But there are so many games coming and we need a squad for that and also to get a better balance in the squad, we are aiming for that. We are always looking for better. We are orientating and we are making an effort to strengthen the squad, but I can’t tell you anything about it in this moment,” said Erik ten Hag.
