UNITED SET LINGARD PRICE AMID INTEREST FROM WEST HAM

Manchester United have placed a price tag on their midfielder, Jesse Lingard, following the continued interest that West Ham United have been showing in recent weeks. Lingard is a major transfer target for West Ham and the London club have been making their interest in signing the England international midfielder known to the Red Devils even before the end of last season. The midfield star spent last season on loan at West Ham after he was told that he would not be getting enough game time at Old Trafford and it turned out to be the best option for him as he went on to have a great campaign with the Hammers.

Lingard took the Premier League by storm in a West Ham United shirt as he continued to impress in the games he played for the club, scoring goals and registering assists for his teammates as well. He was West Ham's best player in the second half of the season and his electric form also earned him a recall to the England national team setup even though he was dropped from the team for the Euros 2020 tournament.

David Moyes, before the end of last season, mentioned that he knew Lingard was a great player and he was able to tell because they have worked together before when Moyes was the manager at Old Trafford. The West Ham boss then added that Lingard proved him just right with the brilliant season he was having and that it would be a great deal for all the parties involved if he could join the club again in the summer.

United have now slapped a £30 million valuation on the player but that could be a little too much for the Hammers to pay. However, they would need to act fast if they want the player as Atlético Madrid are also beginning to show interest in Lingard.
