BECKHAM RULES OUT MANAGEMENT

David Beckham has said that there is no possibility of him becoming a manager in the future.

David Beckham is coming close to the end of his career, with many regarding the former England international to be in the last few years of his career. His contract with MLS side LA Galaxy will be winding down at the end of December. It is thought that he is not looking to move to any other high-profile club other than PSG, who have been showing tremendous interest in him. PSG want to make David Beckham part of their brand project to dominate the French and the European football.

Yes, it was a friendly, and yes, Spain rested a few of their key players, but make no mistake, England thoroughly deserved their win against the World Champions on Saturday night, and can take great heart from the manner of their 1-0 victory.

ROONEY MAKES SHORTLIST

Wayne Rooney has once again been named on the FIFA Ballon D'Or shortlist, though this time he is the only British representative. In previous years the likes of John Terry, Steven Gerrard and David Beckham have featured in the Golden Ball shortlist, but with injuries taking their toll, and no trophies won, Rooney is England's (and Britain's) only hope.

DON'T LET PALACIOS GO

If rumours are to be believed Stoke City and Tottenham Hotspur have entered advanced talks about the transfer of Honduran international Wilson Palacios from White Hart Lane. The combative midfielder signed for Spurs from Wigan in 2009 for £12 million and it is thought that Tony Pulis will pay Harry Redknapp around £6 million to secure his services.
